Adventurers and Scientists for Conservation. Our primary initiative is to facilitate partnerships between adventure athletes and the researchers who need them to collect data all around the world. From Mt. Everest to the Ocean, we have asked hundreds of athletes to make their time outside more meaningful. All of our athletes are volunteers and make the decision to become adventurer-scientists because they have a strong desire to make more of their expeditions.
Volunteers
Mike Richeson is a recovering office drone who prefers big ideas and adventure. He works as a writer, photographer and marketer in Portland, Oregon. In 2011, he sold his car (and almost everything else) and spent five months cycling and climbing trees throughout the western United States. He still lives coffin (car) free and is constantly planning new adventures.
Joe Bell is a photographer based in Central Oregon. Originally from Canada, he has lived in Australia, New Zealand, Italy, and Upstate New York. He is available for photography projects anytime and anywhere, but (much to his mother’s dismay) tends to choose projects based more on their ability to excite and inspire than their financial rewards. That’ll pay off one day, right?
